Fresh Summer Salad

These basic ingredients are cheap and can make a simple, fast, low-calorie salad for every student craving greenery!


  • 1 baby romaine lettuce
  • 1 tomato
  • 2 tbsp sweet corn
  • A couple slices of cured meat (this can be anything from ham to salami)
  • A drizzle of mayonnaise (from a squeezy pot)
  • A drizzle of extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste



Simple as can be- chop the lettuce and tomato as you like, and chuck the rest of the ingredients together into your bowl! Or if you fancy - as my picture shows- you can faff about and make art out of such humble ingredients!
